Abstract

The portfolio is considered in many teaching systems as a set of tools, such as works, project reports or audiovisual media that collect the trajectory of a particular student. The objective was to briefly assess the importance of the implementation of this teaching tool in the undergraduate training of the medical student. The portfolio constitutes, in general, a vital tool for educational teaching that is perfected in each setting, because its characteristics allow it. This then makes it an ideal instrument for any training process.
